More Colombian BBQ!

Remember when I blogged about our BBQ overdose from Columbia Parrilladas Restaurant a few months ago? Well, we were super hungry last weekend and we decided to order in some BBQ from that restaurant again. The food was so yummy the last time ordered in that we just had to get it again. Looks like the telephone skills of the people working there have improved since the last time we called. The person that picked up could speak English and understood what Kevin was ordering! :P

We decided to tray a different food tray then the one we ordered the last time. We tried the Bandeja Pasa the last time. This time, we tried the Combinacion Mixta or the Mix Meat Combo ($21.00). It's a really huge platter, probably enough to feed about 6 people. The platter contained half a BBQ Chicken, a full rack of BBQ Pork Ribs, two Beef Steaks, a strip of Pork Crackling, their famous home made Pork Sausages, all piled on top of French Fries, Yellow Rice and Plantains. It was just a huge huge huge tray of meat! As usual, everything tasted great and it was worth every penny of that $21.00. Of course we didn't finish all that in one sitting, it took us a few days to actually finish it all up!

After dinner, we ate some Fun Pops! Woohoo! For those of you who doesn't know what Fun Pops are, they are freezable fruit flavored ice lollies. It's been a while since I had them. We bought a huge bag of 36 sticks from Walmart for only a little over $2. It comes in many flavors such as Cherry, Blue Punch, Orange, Mango, Pina Colada, Pineapple, Banana, Grape, Lemon-Lime, Watermelon, Strawberry, Peach and Green Apple. Soooo yummy! Makes me feel like a kid again. What a great dinner... wouldn't it be great if we could just pile in loads of carb, meat and sickly sweet ice lollies for dinner everyday? :D
