Remember the post that I wrote day before yesterday about getting coupons for a free 2 piece grilled chicken meal from KFC? Well, if you STILL don't know, Oprah Winfrey teamed up with KFC and they were giving out coupons for free grilled chicken meals. There were so many people trying to go online to print the coupons until the system was down for a few hours. At last they just had to upload a pdf file version of the coupon for the public to print. That didn't effect us cos we printed the coupons wayyy before the system crashed. There were also reports of a few KFC outlets in NYC running out of chicken by mid day as well as riots and sit ins because the customers were upset that there wasn't any chicken left!!
We decided to head to our neighborhood KFC here in NJ to see if we could redeem our 2 piece grilled chicken meal for dinner earlier today. We are happy to announce that there wasn't any riots or people demanding for chicken here! :P Yes, there was a line of about 10 people in front of us but we got our free meal in less than 10 mins, all hot and fresh from the oven.
This is what we had for dinner today, one with a side of Mac N Cheese and Wedges and the other with Mashed Potatoes and Cole Slaw. I am still not really a fan of the greasy grilled chicken but I won't complain cos it's rude to do so when somebody gives you a free meal! Thanks for paying for our dinner tonight, Ms Winfrey!!
