Since this is a new product, not many people know about it. Therefore, Pathmark only carried a small amount of that brand and there wasn't many to choose from. Starbucks Ice Cream comes in four flavors but there were only two types to choose from. We wanted the Caramel Macchiato but they didn't have that in stock. So, we went with the Java Chip Frappuccino instead. The original price for 1 pint is $4.89 but Pathmark was having an ice cream sale and it was going for $2.50 (of course we got ours for free :P).
We could smell the coffee the moment we opened the lid of the ice cream. Such a nice smell, feels a little like walking into a Starbucks (of course not exactly, the smell wasn't THAT strong). Coffee ice cream packed to the brim, with loads of dark chocolate chunks! Now the important part. The taste? Well, if you are a Starbucks fan...you will absolutely LOVE this! It tasted exactly like the Java Chip Frapp, only in ice cream form!! The amount of dark chocolate chunks found in the ice cream were pretty amazing. You can get a bite of chocolate chunk in almost every mouthful.
Overall, I love this product. It's just like drinking a cup of Starbucks, only in ice cream form. I must say that it works as good as any cup of Starbucks coffee too :P I ate a small dish of it around 10pm and it kept me awake until past 4am!! Maybe people should start eating ice cream instead of drinking coffee if they need to stay up late :D Thanks Starbucks for the free ice cream, we really love it!!
