To start off, chop up some roasted peanuts in the food processor until it's really fine. Then set it aside.
Now, we will start making the dough. Pour about 1 cup of glutinous rice flour into a microwave safe bowl.
Then, add in about 3/4 cups of water.
Next, add in about 1 tablespoon of oil.
Mix it all up together until a smooth consistency.
Pop it into the microwave for about 3 and a half minutes, on high.
While the dough is in the microwave, mix some of the roasted peanuts and sugar in a large bowl. You can put in as much or as little sugar as you like.
Once the dough is ready, remove the bowl from the microwave. The dough should be thick and sticky now. Allow it to cool for a bit so that its not piping hot but warm enough so that it's still soft and pliable. Cut a small section off the dough and place it into the peanut mixture.
Cut the dough into smaller sections and toss it in the peanut mixture. Make sure that each piece of the dough is nicely coated.
You can add in some fried onions and sesame seeds at this point too. Continue to toss it in the peanut mixture and once it's all nicely coated, the muah chee is done and ready to be served! It's so easy to make, compared to the traditional way (not that it's really that difficult too :P). A nice serving of muah chee, in less than 10 minutes. Oh and guess what? It tasted almost as good as the ones you can buy from the street food vendors in Penang too!!
