Pittsburgh Panthers and a Pro Stadium

Written by my friend Constance Hayden

There aren't that many college teams that share a stadium with an NFL team. The Pittsburgh Panthers share Heinz Field with the Pittsburgh Steelers. I like it that way because I'm a fan of both teams. It makes it kind of tradition that my family and I go to see games by both teams at one stadium. We know every nook and cranny of Heinz Field. In fact, we knew every nook and cranny of Three Rivers Stadium which was the predecessor to the modern stadium.

The whole Steelers franchise makes sure to continue in history and tradition of the area they call home. Sure, many of the big steel mills are gone now but the heart of the people remains the same. We have a strong work ethic and are loyal to our teams. What else could you say about a union town like Pittsburgh?

Game day is special for every fan that is privileged to attend whether it is a Panthers or Steelers game. I think football is actually in the DNA of the city dwellers and suburbanites around these parts. If we aren't at the game, we are watching it on satellite TV from www.directstartv.com/directv/directv_installation_included.html even if we've been transplanted a thousand miles away due to work or some other reason.

When we Steelers and Panthers fans rule the world, we will be sure to do it the right way. After all, we need fans and teams for our guys to play against.
